ISAM Calls

ISAM calls are the calls made at the lowest level of the OnLine server. One SQL statement can result in any number of ISAM calls, so this command cannot be used to monitor the performance of individual SQL statements in a typical production application. The statistics are grouped into ISAM call types and record the number of times that particular call type was made. They can be used to monitor the type of activity across the OnLine server.
