Recording a Script

To be able to record a browser session, a new script must be created or an existing script must be opened in AgileLoad Script Editor. There are three ways to open a script:

  1. Double-click on it in the AgileLoad Test Center Repository tree

    or
  1. Launch Script Editor: Click Start > Programs > AgileLoad.com > AgileLoad > AgileLoad Script Editor
  2. Select the File/Open menu option (or open toolbar icon ) and choose a file with ".htp" extension in the file dialog,

    or
  3. Launch Script Editor: Click Start > Programs > AgileLoad.com > AgileLoad > AgileLoad Script Editor
  4. Select the File/New menu option (or new toolbar icon ) to create a new script.

When the new script is created or an existing one is opened:

  1. Select the Record/Record menu option (or record toolbar icon ) to begin the recording session; a browser is automatically launched (only in Integrated into IE and AgileLoad proxy local IE recording modes).
  2. Navigate on the http://demo.fmstocks.com/fmstocks/ web site. 
  3. Enter the "ta942" login and the "ta" password and then click the Login button.


  4. The "Welcome to FMSTocks" web page will appear.
  5. Close the browser; The generated HTTP script is ready to be inserted into a job.
  6. Save the script with the name FMStocks (menu File/Save as...)

The following script is generated.
