Specifying the Series Options

To specify the series options:

  1. In the Report Element pane, click the Series List tab.
    The Series List area is displayed.
     
  2. Select the series for which you want to specify the options.
    The Series Options are displayed in the Series List area.


     
  3. To specify the axis on which you want to display the series, select the required value in the Axis column:

     

  4. To specify the Function you want to apply to a series, click the button in the Function column.
    The Series function dialog box opens.


     
  5. Select a Function and an Option.

     

    Function

    Use

    Average

    The Average Function calculates the average of every group of Period points

    Momentum

    Ratio of value compared to previous 'nth' value

    High

    The High Function plots high point of inputs

    Low

    The Low Function plots low point of inputs

    Moving Avg.

    The Moving Average Function calculates the simple or weighted average of every group of Period points

    Root Mean Sq

    (RMS) Result = Sqrt( Sum( Square(Value) ) ) / NumValues )

    Std Deviation

    The Std Deviation Function calculates the standard deviation of every group of Period points

    Trend

    Draws best trend line through points of input Series

     

  6. Specify the Series Options.
    Series Options vary from one statistic type to another.
