Variables and Databanks

A key modeling technique involves the addition of variables to a Script that lets you change the fixed values they record. For example, if a Script records login details which identify the user who conducted the original browser session, you can replace this information with a variable that changes the user login details each time the Script is replayed during a Job-run.

Variables can be incorporated into Scripts to control a variety of elements including user selections. For example, a Script may record items purchased by the user that you need to vary in order to make your job more realistic.

Use the Script Editor "Insert/Modify variable" option to create new variables or modify existing ones.

For an example regarding the use of variables, see Using Databanks.
