Evaluate the performance of your web application, find and fix performance problems quickly with AgileLoad
Your users expect high performance from you, from your web application.
They expect it to be always available, always working and for all their interactions with it to be dealt with fast – no excuses.
Performance is a measure of quality and a site that is sluggish looks like a site that’s not working properly. In fact since summer 2010 Google has been using performance as part of their ranking of web pages. So performance directly affects your visibility in search now too and hence your bottom line.
Web Application Performance?
You’re going to need some answers:
- Can my web application service tens, hundreds, thousands, or hundreds of thousands of users?
- While it’s doing that will your users still receive a high performance service?
- How many transactions per hour can your application do per hour ? Will it be enough to support the business?
- What are the upper limits of my application?
Many users these days expect to wait less than 2 seconds for web interactions – is your application up to standard?
If it’s not then research shows that users having to wait more than 3 seconds will leave!
What if your application doesn’t live up to performance requirements, how can performance be improved? Your going to need some more answers!
- Why doesn’t my application scale?
- Where are the bottlenecks?
- What can we do about them?
You need to understand the performance profile of your application.
Applications don’t scale because of bottlenecks and to fix them you need where they are, Agile Load’s anomaly detector can do this as well as offer recommendations for improvements.
How does AgileLoad work?
We replace real load with synthesised load to create a realistic test environment.
Agile load can be installed in your own datacentres or be hosted in the cloud to synthesize users around the world. Agile Load monitors the experience of its synthetic users as well as the health and performance of the infrastructure underpinning the web application to enable it to detect technical performance problems and hence make recommendations.
Having monitored the infrastructure of the application AgileLoad runs it’s anomaly detector to find bottlenecks and then uses built in expertise to make recommendations for fixes – here it’s telling us that the database tables must be indexed or that the database querie4s need to be optimised to take advantage of the indexes that you have.
